For years, I’ve been making these mixes for friends, family, and now—our amazing listeners. The name Fruitcake has a funny backstory involving a freezer full of uneaten fruitcakes (more on that later), but the spirit of the mix is all about sharing music that brings people together during the holidays.

The Backstory: The Fruitcake Saga
Every Christmas, my family received a fruitcake that immediately went into what we called the "Fruitcake CryoFreeze"—an ancient Frigidaire at the base of the stairs. Over the years, we amassed quite the collection, but no one dared eat them.
Years later, I tried a fruitcake soaked in rum (thanks to a friend's grandma). Let’s just say...it wasn’t for me. That’s when I decided to start a better tradition: creating holiday mixes we could actually enjoy. Hence, Fruitcake Mixes were born—fun, festive, and totally freezer-free!
